September Events
Kansas Rocks Adopt-a-Trail workday, September, 11th.
We are going down to clear trails in the area that we are maintaining at Kansas Rocks ORV Park. We be meeting at Weidmeirs Truck Stop at about 5:30am and leaving around 6:00am on Saturday, September 11th. If you need more information, you can contact Jim Emery at (816)364-5767 or Bart Stevenson at (816)646-3137. We hope to get a good turn out again and better weather this time. They are also having an amateur rock climbing contest in the afternoon. You are welcome to enter or watch.
Southside Fall Festival Parade, September, 18th.
We will be riding in the Southside Fall Festival Parade again this year. We are meeting at Kovacs Plaza on King Hill Ave. at 8:00am to line up. This is a free parade, but they ask for a $5 donation that will go to March of Dimes, Bikers for Babies. If you need any information, contact Bart Stevenson, (816)646-3137.
Amazonia Fall Festival Parade, September 25th.
We will be meeting for this parade in Amazonia at 4th and Hackberry. There is a little store there and we are going to meet in the parking lot at 9:30am. The parade starts at 10:30am. This is a free parade, but they are asking for a freewill donation that will go to the Boy and Girl Scouts and several other charities. Wathena Nursing Home Show, September, 26th.
We are going over the Wathena Nursing Home after the meeting in September to show our Jeeps to the residents. They will have hotdogs and drinks there. We hope as many members as possible can attend.
Someone will have to keep an eye on our president, they might not let him leave. It’s possible that he could be mistaken for a resident.
October Events
Club Picnic, October 2nd.
Mike Ide is letting us use his land out by Rochester Falls for our Club Picnic. We can also camp on Friday and Saturday night if you want. It is primitive, no facilities. Jim is checking into the price of renting a Port-a-Potty and will let us know at the next meeting. The club will be providing chicken for the picnic and you are asked to bring a side dish and your own drinks. Be sure to bring a lawn chair also.

It is very important to RSVP so we know how much chicken to get. Jim will be sending out and email to everyone, it is very important to respond.
We also need some volunteers to help Mike setup a large tent for shade. We will be doing that on Friday around 6:00pm.
We will have more information at the September meeting.
Trail Ride, Disney, OK., October 8th-10th
We will be going to Disney, OK. in October. This is a date change from the schedule due to a large event happening on that weekend at the park. More information will be at the September meeting.
Misc. Events.
Jason Frazee is having a bonfire on Sept. 18th. at 2615 Lower Lake Rd. The fire will be lit around 7:00pm or whenever Jason Brown can hit the large brush pile with his flaming arrow.
